The vision of the Oneida Youth Sports Scholarship Committee (OYSSC) is for all boys and girls in our community to be able to participate in an activity or sport of their choosing that provides an encouraging atmosphere, in a positive and friendly environment, that complements their intellectual and athletic abilities.
The Youth Sports Scholarship Committee was an original committee component of the Oneida Improvement Committee. It was formed in origin to offer financial assistance to a child that participated in sports programming within Oneida, NY.
The mission of Oneida Youth Sports Scholarship Committee (OYSSC )is to provide boys and girls of all backgrounds an opportunity to participate in and activity or sport that builds confidence, develops character and helps them acquire the skills needed to achieve their fullest potential in becoming productive, community minded, responsible adults.
The Committee is currently in the redevelopment phases of the application process. Their next meeting is November 10, 2021 at 6pm at the Oneida Public Library. If you are interested in serving on the committee or learning more please email info@improveoneida.com.
